Marketing & Business Development Manager

Shannon is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) with almost 20 years experience in the A/E/C industry, and a special focus on client relationships and brand awareness. She is a dynamic and creative individual who thrives on creating a culture of inclusion and success among team members.
San Bernardino Valley College's Child Development Center hosts a Santa day. Design West Engineering and partners held toy drives for the event and Path of Life Ministries, donating 311 toys, gift cards, and assembling gift bags for families in need.
Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House supports families of ill children. Design West Engineering and community groups joined Winter Wonderland event, bringing crafts and activities for kids. The event returned this year to provide joy and support.
Design West Engineering participated in two 5k races to promote community engagement and good health. They supported the Mission Inn Run and the Edmonds School District Celebrate Schools 5k, engaging their team and families to build communities.
Design West builds communities through service and partnership. We partnered with SVA Architects for Canstruction Orange County, creating the "Ultimate Food Offering" with 1,500 cans to support the food bank. Our build won the people's choice award.
In celebration of Earth Day 2022, the Design West team spent some time outside in our communities to cultivate a cleaner and safer environment.
Since the beginning of the year, despite the current situation of COVID-19, we have brought on 2 experienced Professional Engineers (PE) in Nicole Oleas and Brad Barbosa, and had one of our team, Darrell Johnson, pass the exam to become a newly minted PE.
Now that the school year has kicked into full gear, many working parents are adding roles and tasks to their plate that 2019 never saw coming. In honor of National Working Parents Day, Design West Engineering wants to share some knowledge and experiences from our team to yours in hopes of benefiting working parents all around us.
We have so many dedicated individuals on our crew that have been showing up and putting their best foot forward each and every day for a lot of years now. Though many of us are still working remotely, it just so happens that August 31st is National Eat Outside Day
Over the last few months while our team has been away and working from home, we have also been working hard to complete the tenant improvement for a new and improved headquarters office.
It’s Cinco De Mayo, so we are bringing the team together on a full company Zoom to see each other’s faces eat some tacos.
We attended the Angels game, showcasing our commitment to our team.

Design West is proud to have been a returning sponsor for the 2019 Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation (REEF) Golf Tournament that took place at the Canyon Crest Country Club on June 10th.
We enthusiastically participated in the 2019 ACE Golf Tournament, joining industry professionals and supporters to raise funds for the ACE Mentoring Program and inspire future generations in the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering.
