About the Project

Design West Engineering provided comprehensive mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design services for the modernization and expansion of Rose Salgado Elementary School for San Jacinto Unified School District. The project included four new buildings, a potential future building, a solar-covered lunch shelter, covered walkways, playfields, and associated site improvements.

Our team delivered fully coordinated design solutions, including HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, electrical distribution, lighting, and integration of low-voltage, fire alarm, security, and technology systems. We also managed utility coordination with Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas, ensuring seamless approvals and service connections. Fire suppression systems were designed in collaboration with civil engineers, incorporating riser locations, hydraulic calculations, and freeze/corrosion protection where required. Throughout construction, Design West Engineering supported the district with submittal reviews, RFI responses, progress sets, and final punch-list verification.
