For over 8 years, Design West worked on MEP design at the Torrance Transit Center, achieving LEED Gold Certification. Recent projects included MEP for new buildings, retail space TI, restrooms, a grease waste line, and additional gas and power meters.

For the last 8+ years Design West has worked on several projects at the City of Torrance Transit Center. Scope of these projects include MEP design for 2 new buildings totaling 15,000 SF for the new Transit Park & Ride Terminal which reached LEED Gold Certification. Following a halt in construction and a new contractor recommencing the work, Design West was brought in for an MEP investigation of current conditions in order to provide any necessary corrective measures.
The most recent project performed at Torrance Transit Center was the MEP design for additional retail space TI located at this site. This included a corridor, two single-occupant restrooms, the addition of a grease waste line, and the addition of a second gas meter as well as a power meter with the remaining space to remain as empty cold shell design.
